Famous For: Proving that there are other galaxies in our Universe other than just our galaxy - The Milky Way. Also, he discovered a relationship between the distance of galaxies and their red shift - Hubbles Law<. Awards: Medal of Merit for service to American Citizens, Honoury Fellow of Queens Colledge Oxford for contributions to astronomy
Quoted: When asked what he hope to find using the Hale Telescope (the largest telescope at the time) Hubble replied

Interesting fact: Hubble could have been a professional boxer but chose astronomy instead!
